Lhasa Apsos |

page 1 |
In the early part of the last century the long closed doors of this High Himalayan country we know as Tibet was made available to a very select group of Western people. Two of the most notable were Lt. Col. and Mrs. F. M. Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. C. Suydam Cutting. The Baileys imported Apso dogs to England and the Cuttings brought the first Lhasa Apsos to the United States. Quote from Mr. Cutting's book "Fire Ox and Other Years" page 178. |
"I am sending you two dogs by way of Kalimpong. Please take great care ofthem when you receive them." Signed the 13th Dalai Lama of Tibet. Dated 7thof the 1st Tibetan month of the Water Bird Year. |

Ch. Tabu's CL Lace and Silk 2003 World International Champion |
|
At Tabu, we are pleased that all our pedigrees trace back to and are closed to only those dogs descended from the imports that Mr. and Mrs. Cutting deemed acceptable to perpetuate the Lhasa Apsos they received from Tibet. Tabu Apsos can trace their ancestors back to the steps of the Potala. |
